Romantic vacations and travel -Vacation beaches

It’s 5 AM, we are loading onto the boat. For the next six hours we will cruising the ocean with our hooks in the water hoping to catch the big fish that are so plentiful. Yesterday we spent much of our day playing beach games, knocking a volleyball back and forth, a little Para-sailing, and even building a castle in the sand. Today is deep sea fishing and tomorrow we will be swimming with the dolphins.Of the thousands of Islands in the Caribbean, many of them still remain so secluded many regular vacationers still do not know they are their. I hope to enlighten you on a few of them and possibly give you a new and exciting vacation spot.

How and when!

The first to inhabit the area of the Caribbean islands were Indians, but in 1492 Christopher Columbus started his exploration which made him the first European to visit this tropical paradise. It was first named by Columbus the Indies because he thought he had found Asia .

The coastline of the Caribbean was filled with Pirate ships in the early 17th century. Many of the pirates adopted Hispaniola and began curing cattle meat in ovens called “Boucans” hence taking on the name “Buccaneers.

Their clothing was loose, and dangled knifes and settled onto the Island of Tortuga . Here they could watch over the passage attacking vessels as far away as the Indian Ocean .

After WWII, the name Caribbean given to the sea and the Islands hence became the Caribbean Islands.

More Vacation Beaches

Some of the more commonly known vacation spots in the Caribbean are Aruba , most visited in the winter months, it is superior for swimming and sailing. The 12 palm beaches are spectacular and climate is exceptional. Antigua is a snorkeling and windsurfers paradise. Since this island is mainly a National Park you can count on plenty of family to do’s. Barbados white sand and turquoise waters makes this island a beach comers paradise. Ever beach on the island has public access which means you can travel the entire coastline. Cancun has a continuous Caribbean coastline and is occupied by all the major hotels and resorts. This too is a swimmers paradise.

The secluded beaches of Guadeloupe are well known for their topless and nude sunbathing with sand that is decorated by many colors. Now if your leaving the kids at home and getting away for an adventurous relaxing exciting vacation, Jamaica would be the answer with its resorts, restaurants and water sports facilities.

 A consistent top ten beach is St Thomas with its family atmosphere, numerous water sports and the view of the Virgin Islands across the water.
