Los Cabos is located on the tip of the state of Baja California, an area surrounded by arid desert, golden beaches and turquoise waters. A lively, fast-growing destination, Los Cabos offers spectacular championship golf courses, exceptional sport fishing, endless possibilities for diving and snorkeling and superb shopping and entertainment. The many attractions on its bays, shores, salt marshes and mountain ridges are the scene for a beautiful enchanted visit.

Los Cabos consists of two enchanting and different cities, each with their own remarkable features, joined by a 20-mile corridor. San Jose del Cabo, an 18th Century mission town, still keeps all its historic flavor and picturesque charm. Cabo San Lucas, a modern and bustling town is abundant with stores, restaurants and an exciting nightlife. The Tourist Corridor is home to luxurious hotels, a collection of championship golf courses and outstanding beaches.

San Jose del Cabo’s quiet and colorful landscapes, Cabo San Lucas’ activity and excitement and the Tourist Corridor’s luxurious hotels offer a fascinating contrast to a place with a history and diversity as rich as all of Mexico, as well as something for each taste. A natural stone arch, El Arco, formed where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, stands as a monument to the breathtaking singularities of Los Cabos or “the Capes”.

Bottom Bay Barbados

Tucked away on the south coast, past the Crane Beach and Sam Lord’s Castle – Bottom Bay is by far one of the best beaches in Barbados. It has a wide expansive beach with smooth rolling waves riding onto the shore.

Its white sand that is lined with coconut palms and even has its own cave. To access the beach, visitors can park on top of a cliff and walk down steps to the azure waters. Medium to large waves dominate the surf.

The beach is semi enclosed by high coral cliffs, providing a panoramic view of the south shore. The scene is completed by the presence of tall palm trees that add to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the bay.

Always a popular picnic spot, it is also becoming a popular place to live and a number of homes are being built on the tops of the cliffs overlooking the beach and ocean. People who live there report spotting turtles and whales in the waters below the rocks.

Although Barbados offers some more secluded beaches that Bottom Bay the mix of natural beauty, personality and atmosphere offered by this beach makes it one of the best locations in the Carribean!

Coromandel, New Zealand

Cathedral Cove, Te Whanganui-A-Hei, is the first marine reserve established on the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand, in the Department of Conservation’s Waikato Conservancy.

The cave and beach was used as the tunnel through which the Pevensie children first re-enter Namia in the movie version of The Chronicles of Namia: Prince Caspian. Music Cantoma from Essarai.

Anyway we found our spot, borrowed a spade from a lovely American lady called LInda who was slowly looking like a poached lobster but claimed the water was perfect for her arthritis – probably because she no longer had any nerve endings functioning anymore from the frazzling heat.

We settle in our pool like wallowing hippos jostling for position with little Myles taking it all in his stride with the occasional mouthful of sand and head ‘dip’? into the water (who knows why he does this?) we sat and gently warmed – with a little digging of heels into the pool every 10 mins or so to bring more hot water to the surface we were happy with our efforts. Once nicely toasted we decide to head to Tiarua and get a well earned fish and chip late lunch.

Tobago Caribbean island

Twinned with Trinidad, Tobago lies at the southern tip of the Caribbean island chain. It is an island for retreat and relaxation, offering a natural and unsophisticated simplicity with clear waters, colourful coral reefs and beautiful beaches.

Along with the many exotic flowers and birds, it is little wonder the island has earned the reputation as the home of the legendary Robinson Crusoe. Tobago offers little in nightlife, and entertainment; it is a haven for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle and retreat to a quieter, calmer place.

Pigeon Point is the island’s most famous beach and a national park area well worth a visit. For the more active, there is golf and watersports to enjoy, and for a day away from the beach, why not hre a car and explore the lush green interior with its wooded hills dotted with sugar and cotton plantations.

This is a collection of my pictures taken from Tobago, it features places such as: Fort King George, Buccoo Reef, Nylon Pool, Tobago’s Botanical Garden, Mason Falls, and some of the buildings of Port of Spain as seen off the port of Port of Spain.
